Valentina is a vampire. Conner is a werewolf. I guess you see where I'm going. Being the mate of a future Alpha is never easy, but when you've never even met a werewolf before... Well, let us just say that it complicates things. Valentina isn't used to possessiveness or violence, and moving in with a pack of werewolf turns out to be more challenging than anything she could imagine. Having a mate who almost doesn't feel the pull is difficult as well, especially when you have to deal with a lot of unexpected responsibility. Conner is trying (and failing) to give his mate space, while he tries to deal with their neighbor pack who only grows more and more aggressive. It might be needless to say that their relationship won't be a dance on roses.

'I close my eyes, unable to keep the heavy lids open. But the darkness which is supposed to be my safe haven is haunted with wolves, the wolves with my blood covering the muzzles, their breath, which had not long ago been hot, caressing my skin, teeth ripping my flesh as they fought over me.' Irana's trusted into a world of pain, blood and love after being attacked by wolves. Her life is ruined and now she's battling with being a wolf, who is driven by blood, finds excitement in killing. All she's got it the pack to guide her but she can't stand the pack, it's like being suffocated, like being dipped into lava. It's a story about love, struggles but most of all dominance and power, how not everything goes how you expect it
