Every now and then, you wake up to be abducted and discover you are the last hiding unicorn on Earth. Doesn't everyone?

When you find out you're not human, your parents aren't your parents, everything wants to chop you into little pieces and that you can portal hop quicker than the number 26 bus gets along Princes Street - why is it that boy drama is still a pressing matter?

Meet Anna, the sassy, non-human girl who happens to be a unicorn and likes an unattainable boy. Just regular teen drama, right?

This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. When Angelique Savant, a quiet, unassuming foster kid with a genius IQ is found not guilty of attempting to murder her best friend, she's committed to an insane asylum where she remains until she's found by her aunt and uncle who take her in. Surrounded by family she never knew existed until now, Angelique learns who her parents are. That like her, her father had secrets. Secrets that led to her being committed to a hospital for the criminally insane, and a darkness that seems to be hunting her like it hunted him. A darkness that puts anyone and anything she loves in danger. Enrolled in a new school, Angelique meets those in possession of gifts like hers who help her understand them. Because the world is running out of time and so is she. Especially when her identity as one of the fallen has been uncovered and she can no longer hide from those who hunt her. Unimaginable forces of darkness have been unleashed. And as she begins her training as one of the fallen, learning how to harness lightpower, she puts the puzzle pieces of her life together.
