Mabel and Dipper are finally going back to gravity falls, six years after that one fateful summer back when they were 12. But this time the twins plan to stay. Will reuniting with old friends (and enemies) bring back memories they had since forgotten? Or will new feelings surface that they had never felt before?
When Mabel reunites with her rival Pacifica she hopes to forget everything that happened between them and start anew. She expects to receive a peaceful coexistence with her former enemy but will she get more than she has ever hoped?

Mabel Pines used to be the happiest girl in the world, but when she returns to Gravity Falls in the summer after her first year of high school. It's clear that something is different. She looks way different and doesn't smile at all. Dipper tries to get her to open up, but she just ignores him. So Dipper turns to Pacifica Northwest, although Mabel and Pacifica had never truly been friends, they started to become closer the summer before Mabel left. Pacifica wants to find out what happened to Mabel and maybe they both will discover some feelings for one another... The timeline & the world are altered by misuse of the journal. Gravity falls is on military lockdown. Dipper finds Pacifica does not know him much outside of his teen years. She is a hardened militant survivor who has gone underground in resistance. Mabel Pines is off to college for her first year of art school majoring in photography and minoring in printmaking(arts&crafts). Her dorm roommate's sister goes missing and Mabel investigates only to find many other girls have gone missing around campus after dark but show up the next day somehow 'changed'. Mabel finds the trail of clues leads back to none other than the prestigious ΣΔΣ Sorority House. They are as pretentious as they are rich so Mabel has to go under the cloak of disguise at a costume party to sneak in. These girls are recruiting, but not in the traditional sense. Watch your back Mabel and don't get bit or you'll turn into Alpha Mabel! Dipper & the crew are also are exploring the caves behind gravity falls with wendy as their spelunking guide. What they find predates Aztech and Incan culture as they make their way through deadly traps and an underground temple bearing an omen of impending doom. ==== This is Book #2. I would recommend reading Book #1(Winter's Promise) first so the story makes sense. It is book 2 in a 3 book series. Book 3 is being written as I find time to write.
