Freya, a proud and strong-headed warrior of the smilodon(or saber-fanged cats beast clan), has always fought tooth and claw to protect her clan. As the defacto secondary leader of the clan, just beneath her brother Kenrick. She was his most loyal fang until his unforeseen betrayal shattered everything they once had. Left with an unsightly scar and a shattered heart, Freya sets out to leave the only home she's ever known. After such an unimaginable betrayal from her own blood, Freya vows to carve her own path in a world teeming with beastmen far unlike herself. Finding that the mainland holds just as many secrets as her own icy homeland.
Among strange beast tribes she's never seen and cunning predators around every turn, she seeks revenge, but fate has more than bloodshed in store for her. As she fights her way through this unforgiving land, powerful and alluring men cross her path...warriors, outcasts, and kings, all drawn to the fierce and untamed woman who refuses to kneel to anyone or anything.
But trust is a fragile thing, and love is an even deadlier game. To reclaim her place in the world, Freya must decide: will she forge a new home of her own or burn the past home and all its traitorous inhabitants to the ground itself?
