Canada and Japan are two separate worlds. The language, food, and even the architecture couldn't be anymore different. So, moving at the age of fourteen was quite tough for Karalea and her family. Especially with her limited Japanese. A girl who's ripped between these two worlds, where could she stand? What culture could she even call hers? Even after all the years she's spent in Japan, she still doesn't know if she can call herself Japanese. That is until an owl swoops by and shows her a new perspective. The other end of the chord that ties them together.
