Tom Nook and Redd always despised each other. To Tom Nook, Redd was a thieving, scamming, no-good liar. To Redd, Tom Nook was nothing but a goody-goody businessman. But does Tom even remember Redd and what he did after all these years? How could he not? It doesn't seem to be that way...
One day, years later, on an island in the middle of the sea, Redd scams the island's mayor and she buys a fake painting. She comes to Tom in a fit of anger and he goes to give Redd a piece of his mind. What follows is Redd's most diabolical scheme yet - terrorizing the island with pranks and scams. The more Tom Nook goes to yell at him, the more confused he feels... but what is this feeling?
This plummets the both of them into the summer of a lifetime. Redd doesn't want to reveal how intense his feelings are, and Tom doesn't think Redd feels what he does. And will Tom feel the same when he finds out he knew Redd all along?
