Being born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Allison Frey was just one of many. She was a normal teenage girl, with normal middle-aged parents, with an intense sibling rivalry with her brother. Everything was fine. Everything was perfect, and--
Cue the sound of the record scratching right now, because that is so far from the truth.
In reality, I'm just another statistic, in so many ways. The name's Allison, last being Frey, and the end of my rope is so torn to shit that I can't even begin to tell you where it first snapped. My life's a walking disaster, but if you can tell me that yours isn't, well, slap my ass and call me an idiot because that's never going to happen.
I was marked "talented and gifted" at the age of 7, and ostracized by my peers for as long as I can remember. I've too many brothers to count, and I'm pretty sure two of them are dead but who the fuck knows? I've too much parental confusion to even know where I come from anymore. I'm pretty sure my birth certificate is fake. Just one little thing that I do know for certain:
There's no way in hell I'm human.

Our stage opens in the Portland, Oregon, USA, the year of 2018. Allison Frey, a senior in high school and a brilliant musician. But, her family's got a secret, and they keep it well. Their bloodline is unclear, their past riddled with changing stories, and their heritage a mess. Pair this with the threats of her own mind on the daily, and you've got one stereotypical, statistical teenage girl with enough questions to fill a novel with.
And guess what?
We will.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
