Rheon is a hacker. When she receives a letter from the mayor, she is almost certain that it calls for a fine, or, at worst, an arrest, only to find out that she is required to aid four young superheroes in their quest to defeat one of the worst villains ever encountered by Arcadia's people. She hates this arrangement.
She decides to sabotage the whole mission. What does she owe the very force that has made her stay in crippling poverty for twenty years? Rheon starts by assassinating her teammates, thinking that it is what will finally free her and others like her from the ruling class. But how free is she, really, to make her own choices within this framework of politics and schemes?
Warnings: A lot of death, suicide, dark stuff. I am so sorry to inflict this upon the world.

At first I thought I'd pick something a bit out of my comfort zone (so.... NOT SciFi for once...) to expand my horizon, but when I saw a prompt about time travel I was immediately inspired. Please keep in mind, all of this is WIP! The title, cover, and some of the content might change at any time... I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) What was once a bright and happy world. Heroes keeping the peace. Soon plunged into darkness by the Villains. No more Heroes are left, no more law enforcement left to resist, leaving the villains to rule. They have created a system for the unwilling people to follow. It only takes one to break a system. We follow our hero who has had enough of the villains. But he'll have to free one area at a time. (Know that I'm doing the whole irl locations thing to the best of my ability. Also note that this story has some disturbing events that isn't suitable to young audiences.)

|WATTYS 2022 WINNER - HORROR| Shawn, a convicted criminal, never thought she'd see the sun again, let alone call another star system her home. When she's offered an out from her prison sentence, she embarks on a dangerous interstellar expedition along with 18 of Earth's most intelligent criminals. Their task is to set up a base on a supposedly habitable planet and prepare it for colonization. Although the planet has liquid water and a breathable atmosphere, it is believed to host only microbial life. However, upon arriving, Shawn and the rest of the colonists learn that assumption was grossly incorrect. In a brutal attack from rampaging wildlife, everyone but Shawn and four other colonists are killed. The five survivors retreat to the cavernous network beneath the ground seeking safety, but they soon come to a terrible discovery. These caves aren't ordinary caves, and they are no safer down under than they were on the surface. Soon he's trapped in a fight for survival, desperately attempting to figure out which of his ghosts are haunting him, and which are trying to kill him. [Author's Note: This story is a Cyberpunk Red fanfiction of my PC set a few years after the end of a 7-month long campaign I had played earlier this year.
