The inspiration for this story came from a TikTok that I saw.

The kingdom of Aletta is different because at the age of 16 every teen is grouped into one of five categories by a higher rule. The categories are the musicians, the adventurers, the researchers, the defenders, or royalty. The people of Aletta never know why they are sorted the way they are. It has always been this way. Until five girls are sorted into categories that don't fit their personalities or their families.

Meet Isabella, the daughter of the king and queen of Aletta. She is the only princess that was ever moved out of her category on their 16th birthday.

Meet Brooklyn, the daughter of musicians who is unhappy in her category, and on her 16th birthday she is put into a category away from her family.

Meet Everleigh, an aspiring adventurer who has a fondness for danger. She is suddenly whisked away from her old life on her 16th birthday.

Meet Lydia, a brave daughter of two defenders who's whole world is suddenly changed on her 16th birthday.

Meet Scarlett, a researcher who is two days away from a cure when she is suddenly taken away from her category on her 16th birthday.

These five girls will have to travel away from all they know to figure out the mystery of the sorting. Will the girls be able to figure out why they were sorted the way they were, or will they fail and watch as other teens lose the lives they once knew?
