Hello there. My name is Arabella Waverly. I am 22 years old and I'm a mermaid. My mother was killed by a illness so my father raised me. He is also very protective of me. I always had a curiosity of what's in the surface of the water but my father always forbid me to go because he was scared of me getting hurt by humans. But now that I live alone, I secretly go to the surface in a lake. But one day when I was at the surface and humming to a song, a little human girl named Joelle found me. At first I was afraid but then I seem to trust her more. Soon we had a friendship. We would tell each other many things. She been through horrible things with her mother and her father doesn't listen to her. But then one day I had the chance to meet her father. But he found out about me when he saw me and Joelle talking at the lake.
