Jacob Collins is a writer down on his luck. After failing to meet readers expectations on what they think should be able to suspend their disbelief, Jacob begins doing some research into different folktales. When that isn't enough, he feels he'll have to turn to "real" accounts of the paranormal. Jacob finds himself in the middle of nowhere in a town called Hunter's Creek. He came to find folklores and new tales, but something seems amiss about the entire town. Teaming up with resident paranormal expert, Trace Baker, Jacob writes his book. Little does he know how true his writings may turn out to be.

Only her blood has the power to unleash an ageless evil and allow those chasing her to breach a gate that must never be opened. Claire's only hope is to learn the secrets of a mysterious artifact that can alter reality. The Tesseract. But it's guarded ancient protectors: the Vangandra. The Wolves.
