The sound of the soles of my boots slapping the wet pavement is steady in my ears. The faster I run, the more I realize I'm leaving the place I truly belong. Just as I am about to turn around, my whole point of view is different. Instead of looking back up the long alley I descended, all I can see is the night sky. 
The stars truly are beautiful tonight.. 
My vision begins to blur and the same time everything around me is tinged red...
I search for the strength to lift my arms but they seem to be filled with lead.
I can smell blood in the air.. probably my own. I assume I slipped..
The cold rain drips down my face slowly.. calming me.

I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."

I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

Cold, alone, and frightened, I stumble around in the dark alley, trying to find a hiding spot, I was trying to hide from them. I heard their shouts and hoots at me, there was no where left to turn or hide. My breaths became frantic as they came closer to me. "Where did you think you were going girl?" The man asked me, he was only 1 foot away from me, his breath intoxicated by liquor. "I just wanted to dance, but you run away, I'm not going to bite......that hard." He grabbed my arm and pulled me into him, the other 2 guys surrounded me. He licked my arm, and smiled evilly. Then he was gone, someone swooped him up and threw him. I gasped as the same thing happened to the other 2. The person who had done it stood in front of me, a hood was drawn over his face. "Who are you?" I asked him. But he just turned around and walked away, not a word spoken to me...........

"This is a nightmare, it's only a nightmare..." I say to myself as I try to catch my breath while leaning against a tall pine tree. Only for a moment do I stay in that position until I hear a twig snap. I quickly leap away from the tree and run as fast as I can. "Wake up (Y/N)! just wake up!!!" I think to myself. "You are awake my dear..." I hear that voice. That damn voice. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I scream. I continue to run past trees and hopping over large rocks. "Why me? out of all the people this had to happen to me!" my brain races with thoughts until my foot gets caught by a tree root sticking out of the ground. I fall hitting my head on a rock. My vision is blurry and I can feel a warm liquid begin to stream down my face. "My dear (Y/N), look what you have done to yourself. You shouldn't have tried to run away." the voice goes through my head again. I look around and see nothing but trees. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" My voice begins to grow sore from the constant running and yelling. The sound of leaves crunching comes from behind me and I whip my head around until my eyes are met with him. "My dear (Y/N), you've made quite the mess of yourself. You know you are not aloud to leave......now you'll have to be punished." The figure says without any facial expression or motion. The figure begins to walk forward towards me. I try to back away until my vision becomes black and all I can hear is static.

That night Ivy died and what was reborn is something dark and dangerous. He was right, I am a soulless monster. I have no remorse for the blood I shed. Not when it gets me closer to having my revenge.

I can feel the urge inside me, the pictures running through my head, the images that are too gruesome to be okay to think about. I close my eyes. I was so mad at myself, then. I couldn't be any more disgusted than I already was. I opened them to see nothing there, no people, no animals. No souls to take. No lives to end. I should have been relieved or happy. Yet, I screamed my pain out, anyway.
