"He grabbed my hands as he pulled me up onto the empty stage. I had no idea what he was doing until he moved his hands to my hips, humming our favorite song in my ear.
As we started moving our bodies to the song he sang only to me, it hit me that this had to end. I didn't know when or how, but it was going to bring my life burning down in flames.
"I'm falling in love with you, Ni," I whispered into his neck. I wasn't sure he'd heard me, but his singing stopped as he pulled me back to look at him.
With a big smile on his face, he leaned down, his lips meeting mine and sending sparks through my entire body.
"Oh, angel. You have no idea how long I've wanted to hear you say that."
