I wrote my first Villanelle when I was in 2nd year College. Thanks to my former professor who encouraged me to continue doing poetry. He was one of my inspirations. I remember when I was in 3rd year High School, I had a poem about love. I tried to find it but I couldn't find it. I've always wanted to write about many things. And I wish my works would be an inspiration to others.

Bawat kirot ay may katumbas na paghihiganti. Yes, every pain demands a payback. That's the first thing I learned when I loved him. Not consciously, not right away-but slowly, in pieces. He taught me how to love. His love was wildfire-reckless, consuming, beautiful in the way it ruined everything. I thought I was lucky to have it. I thought he saw something in me. Maybe he did. Maybe he saw the parts that were already breaking. He taught me how to bend the rules, how to silence the voice in my head that said "this isn't right." With him, right and wrong blurred until they didn't matter. Until all that mattered was staying close enough not to lose him, but distant enough not to drown. And then came pain. He taught me pain in a thousand unspoken ways. In words that stung more than silence. In apologies that came too late. In touches that lingered with regret. And pain... And pain. Dearest First Love
Dearest First Love, I never thought I'd always be thinking of you. You were the best thing that ever happened to me. I never run past a day not thinking about you nor regretting about how we end up separated. I have loved you and I still do. But sometimes, my heart just feels like you were never really meant to stay and sometimes it wishes for you to come back. I can never really tell when my heart is certain because now and then it changes its mind and I can only wish that whatever it may feel from time to time, I hope it will end up happy and contented. I know moving on is such a long process and a hard one but I want to try to move on because I want to forget about all the unnecessary emotions I have inside and I also wish I could live a life of happiness and love. P.S. I Was Wrong
I thought you were different, but I was wrong. I thought you'll be the one, but still I was wrong. I thought you're loyal and faithful, and yet i'm still wrong. But I have proven and discovered one thing; I get stronger and better. --- "I told you that I don't love you anymore. There's no way that I'll love you the way that I had loved you before!"
