My thoughts of resentment melt away when I see his Adam's apple bob. As much as Henry didn't want to admit it, I knew he was nervous. His tongue darts out to lick his lips as his eyes flicker to mine.

A free hand he has rests on my thigh. It's the first time he's touched me like this, and I can feel the electricity bursting through every vein of my body. His fingers disappear under my skirt, leaving a trailblazing burn as he drags them across my skin before bringing other his hand up to my neck. It curls around my nape, and he leans in, letting his hot breath fan my ear. My knees feel weak as I go pressed further up against the wall.

"Didn't your mom ever tell you not to put your hand over a burning flame?" He asks the rhetorical question while playing with the hem of my skirt. I can feel the roughness of his calluses caressing the freshly shaven skin of my thighs. His thumb strokes a circle on my thigh, and I almost give in. I clench my legs unable to process the flood of emotions running through me.
