She's faced with a tough adversary, getting attacked not long after she arrives. Elf rears his ugly head and wants her as a specimen for the human experimentation that he performs with the man with the scar. What will happen when he attacks? How many times could he appear? Frustration runs rampant among the characters here as they struggle to solve an unsolvable case. Elizabeth has to deal with the terror of someone who wants to use her for a terrifying experiment, horrible flirting attempts, and, the strangest of all, an unexpected romantic interest.
