Three years ago, May Carter's world fell apart when she fell way too hard for the wrong man, leading her to close the door on love for good. Now, haunted by dreams of ghostly children and deadly shadows, she has begun a new life in the beach town of Crystal Bay with her teenage daughter, Melody. Taking over her family's beachfront diner and moving into the house of her dreams, she has everything she's ever wanted...almost. When she meets handsome, blue-eyed Paul, she does her best to resist his charms as their newfound friendship grows. However, passions surge and it's not long before neither can fight their overwhelming desire as they begin an intensely wild, and life-altering affair.
Soon, May discovers that Paul has, somehow, been sharing each and every one of her all-too vivid, disturbing nightmares. Nightmares which begin to seep into their waking lives, warning them of a great danger looming not far ahead. In order to solve the riddle of these warnings and save herself from the shadows, May must discover the dark and terrible secret buried deep within her family's history. An ancient evil which has spent centuries tearing a bloody path through her ancestry, and now wants to destroy May, as well. Has May finally opened her heart, just to have her very life stolen from her?

Nothing could compare to the way her gaze made me feel. The flames licking my skin and the raging fire in my veins was way more bearable.
The moment our eyes connected, it was like my body found a new kind of flame.
The kind that only she was able to draw from me. I've never felt my body being set ablaze like this before.
One day here in this new town and I was already losing my mind over my new neighbour.
A really pretty, hot neighbour. Her long, wavy platinum blonde hair, pale skin and icy blue eyes that seemed to stare depths into my soul and keep me frozen in place.
I couldn't seem to leave.
Her pink lips were parted slightly as she tried to catch her breath.
I swallowed.
One step forward and I could hold her.
One tilt of my head and I could kiss her lips.
If only I could have a taste of those lips-
I have to get out of here.
I turned and left, my heart nearly overpowering my brain to stop and go back to her.
Only one thought kept me going.
Who could ever love a monster?

Hey guys! I'm back with a new story and I've had this idea in my head for quite some time and I'm glad to finally be posting it!
Firstly, I got inspiration for this book from a Korean drama called "Goblin" and it's one of the best dramas I've come across after so long.
Secondly, no reuploading or copying or plagiarising or whatever it is that is illegal because I will slice your neck and leave you hanging to die :) Jk, maybe. Not really.
Thirdly, please enjoy this book and leave comments!
Sincerely,
Janice
