Ruby is an orphan staying at Serenity Home, the local orphanage. She was brought there after her parents died in a planned house fire, in other words they were murdered. She escaped the house fire with a beret that used to belong to her mother and a pocket knife that belonged to her father. She was one of the first orphans staying at Serenity Home along with her best friend Clara. They have lived in Serenity Home for about 10 years and both were brought there when they were around 4 years old.
