Marlow and her family are on a journey to get to a new land called Kyre. On their long journey they run into trouble. When help comes Balkyn finds Marlow and her younger brother in trouble with her parents dead outside of their hiding spot. If Marlow gets off that ship she swears she will avenge her parents with or without Balkyns help.
