[Formerly Featured!] Coming back from a vacation, with a gun pointed at her head was definitely not what Jean Saunders expected. Especially seeing a man flying around in the air, claiming to be the city's superhero. At least he wasn't wearing that embarrassing spandex outfit. Alas, due to her capability for getting into trouble, the city's superhero eventually recognises her and not in a good way, at all. Catching a superhero's attention is never a good thing. -------------------------- Opening and closing his mouth, he made some gestures as if he was trying to speak but he couldn't find the words to convey his message. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. When you're a teenage undercover as a part-time superhero you have three options: You can pull on the nerd/geek high schooler or a bad boy/outcast type of high schooler. There's always the bystander, but that's never any fun. Whatever fits you most. I definitely fell into the category of a bad boy/outcast. I've always been a bit 'intimidating', so they say, even before I got my powers. So I stuck to it. Besides, who would ever think that the bad boy is actually a superhero? Apparently, a certain someone, Jenna Davison if we're going to be specific, the good girl somehow caught on to my little alter ego. And well that kind of turned both of our lives upside down, inside out, and just backwards!

I know what you're thinking and no, he didn't pee himself. He had developed super powers. At first, he was in denial, but inevitably came to the understanding that he is now a Super, and if he has powers, he might as well use them for something other than picking up hot chicks. Now, not only does he have to deal with school, his almost non existent social life and his aggravating younger brother, but he also has to fight super villains and learn to control his new found powers to avoid blowing his cover to the world...and it is a lot harder than he anticipated. Prepare for a roller coaster ride of lame one liners and painfully awkward adolescent behaviour, along with bromances and romances, breakups and make ups, and even some cliché superhero behaviour, villains who hold a grudge, and really dorky super suits. Oh... and angry, rampaging squirrels.

I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. I also didn't think about being a superhero and rescuing the world from the bad. The only thing I want is to be left alone and get over with my last year of high school. When he grabs ahold of her, she reacts without thinking and stabs him twice in the shoulder, only surviving the encounter thanks to a nearby hero who intervenes on her behalf. Unfortunately, her villain vows to get even. Everywhere she turns, he's there, and with each bizarre encounter more doubts fill her head as to his true intentions. *enemies to lovers/slowburn
