"you make the dead give love." ----- In a world of great destruction, there has to come beauty. Immortals were created to balance out the world. To create wisdom when there's only strength. Happiness when there's only sadness. Even bad luck when everything seemed to go right. These Immortals aren't as Immortal as you may think. Throughout the years they've created many enemies, but they've also created protectors. Seers train everyday of their lives to protect the beings who create balance in the world. In the past 70 years, the Seers created a training facility that doubles as a school. It's called the Academy by the students, though the official name is nowhere near that simple. Thomas Lovecraft's Academy for the Protectors. This place was supposed to be a safe haven for the Immortals and a training ground for the Seers. But one night when a student goes missing, everything starts to fall apart.

In 2213, humanity faced an unimaginable nightmare. Monsters-horrifying, relentless, and otherworldly-began to emerge without warning, attacking everything in their path. Humanity's best weapons proved useless against these creatures, and as cities and territories fell, nations were forced to unite in a desperate fight for survival. Amidst the chaos, some who were exposed to these creatures developed unique powers. They documented their newfound abilities in ancient-like books, which became crucial training tools for the military. When the immediate crisis eased, these ability books were made available to the public, offering a glimmer of hope and a way to fight back. The original ability-users, known as the "Pioneers," formed their own factions, working alongside-but often apart from-the united government, which had reformed as a global military. These newfound abilities transformed society, sparking extraordinary technological advances and reshaping the world. Now, in 2225, 16-year-old Roland faces the start of his own journey. It's his turn to attend the military academy, where every young person trains to defend humanity from the monsters. But Roland holds a mysterious book, left by his family, with secrets that may redefine his destiny-and perhaps even rewrite his past.
