A world after a long rebellion war. left in mostly ruins, and ruled by a king who suppress his people. Clairia grew up in this world, her family killed in the rebellion war. She soon finds herself in the king's sights. She loves another, but the king drives a wedge between them, and destroys the place she calls home. With great purpose she moves forward, and she plans to take the king down, and free it's people form despair. to do this she has to trust someone who she shouldn't, an ex soldier of the king. ***some mention of sexual violence****
