memories of jackson

the first memory Charley has of Jackson is him sitting on barstool shuffling poker cards. she can remember the way his green eyes bore into he card. she remembers a lot about Jackson from the way he looked in winter to the green tint of his eyes in June. sometimes she thinks she can hear his voice when she says something he always used to. but hes gone and the touch of him on her skin when they'd lie side by side in August is too. so what is it that brings her to track down every memory in the place where it happened? is love something that can just die? but how can it be love if its only one sided? but if not love then what has kept the memories of Jackson alive for so long?
