She's your average unseen teenager who has learned to cope with being in the shadows over the years, but something, or rather someone, changed that comfortable state of obscurity during Ava Mai's junior year of high school.

While dodging her sister's antics, keeping up with her GPA, and avoiding her latest obstacle the best she can, Ava will have to learn to grow up fast in the hostile world of "High School."

Awkward only begins to describe Ava Mai and her encounter with the new guy in school, Gabriel Giuliani. He may have the name and face of an angel, but the boy sure acted like the Devil. It didn't help that he was devastatingly handsome and naturally charming, but Ava was too smart and too stubborn to fall for his tactics. Can Mr. Perfect win over the sarcastic little nerd?

Their story starts on the rocks, and though they take the path of most resistance, where it leads to is an unexpected future.
