Dean and Sam are both in love with Adeline, before Sam left for college he asked Adeline to come with him, but she declined but that night they admitted their feelings for each other and ever since, Sam hasn't been able to get Adeline out of his mind and started using Jessica, his girlfriend as a distraction from who he really wants. Dean is head over heels in love with this girl, they have this relationship with each other where they do everything a couple does but they're not really a couple and aren't exclusive to each other. Dean loves Adeline so much, he would do anything for her and is really protective over her, he doesn't care about any other girl but her.
