"Kiss me." He whispers. "I-I don't know how...I've never done this before." I frantically whisper and tilt my head. My nose slightly brushes against his, and all of my instincts tell me to dive into him with the most passionate kiss I could create. I wanted to be closer, and feel every part of him against me. "Can I kiss you?" He asks through an intoxicating whisper. His lips teasingly hover over mine, and without thinking I finally press my lips against his. His lips matched mine perfectly like a puzzle, and I wrap my arms around his neck to pull him closer. His hands trail up my back, and the euphoric bursts of pleasure take my senses into over drive. He starts to part his lips, and his tongue slowly enters through my lips to play with mine. He tastes of sweet wine, and I feel my hands sliding up to grip his hair. I let out a slight moan into his lips, and my breath grows heavy. We part for a gasp of air before meeting back with more of my muffled moans. A faint thud-like sound catches my attention, and I start to pull away to see what made the sound. My lips retreat, and I take a faint breath before clearing my mind to think logically. As I pull away, his lips simply continue to kiss my chin and down my cheek. Another gasp slips from my lips, and this one echos through the hall. "I..I think...I...I heard something." I whisper as quietly as possible. He lightly pulls away to take a small breath before smiling. "I didn't hear anything. It's nothing." He pushes aside.... He gave me a feline smile as he stalked toward me. I backed away until my heels hit the stall wall and he took advantage of my surprise by stepping in to me, his body a mere whisper from mine. "That's good, Evelyn," he murmured and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear. My heart was pounding and I knew my face was betraying everything I was feeling. Damn him. I didn't want to feel this excited clench in my stomach. I didn't want to feel this longing for him. "What are you doing?" My voice was shakier than I would've hoped and far too breathy. "Something I've wanted to do for a very long time." *************************************************** Two hundred years after a powerful sorceress eliminated all modern technology and most of Earth's population, the people left behind live happily with no electricity, no motorized machinery - no advanced technology of any kind. However, many of them now possess magical gifts that were once considered myth. Evelyn Kentala, a talented horse trainer, is an empath and uses her gift to understand animals. Her abilities don't allow her to know the emotions of people - or so she thinks. When Broderick Ryan, the next leader of his and Evelyn's province, returns home after being gone for five years, Evelyn discovers she's much more than an empathic horse trainer. Frightening and rare abilities begin to manifest and she's left reeling when she discovers why. Evelyn and Broderick find themselves drawn to each other as they discover the secrets of her unknown past and fight to keep themselves, and their province, safe from those who wish them harm.

The Last Nymph

31 parts Complete

Maera was a nymph. Or was she? She claimed to be a genuine Nereid from antiquity. Right out of the pages of Greek mythology. Well, that's what she told Doc Roussos who lived alone on the island. Kalamos was remote and sparsely populated. An exquisite pine-covered jewel that rose steep and majestic out of the turquoise and cobalt Mediterranean. Maera would visit Doc on those summer nights uninvited. Arriving unannounced, she would appear at his ruin--a formerly destroyed Venetian castle. It was a place over the years he had more-less inherited, as volunteer custodian of the archaeological structure. But who really was this honey-haired girl who began to invade Doc's chosen isolation? Somewhere in her twenties, beautiful, and with a musical voice and a graceful gait, she seemed real enough to the retired professor. But it was her nightly stories which gave him pause for disbelief. They were tales from a long-ago past. And not just of previous ages, but romances and adventures Dr. Roussos had been long familiar with. Mythological accounts capable of beguiling a charmed listener well into a world time before time . . . But were the stories all she offered him?
