A slightly run down coffee-shop becomes the home of freshly heartbroken Steph; visiting the place had become some sort of daily ritual since the heartbreak had occurred, the chill atmosphere and empathetic workers providing her with comfort. However when she's introduced to Luke - a newly employed barista - her world is capsized and she finds herself drowning in a sea of lust, love and pain. She tries desperately to find the equal ground between being in love with someone and being in love with the idea of adoration: however she seems to find herself falling into the same old patterns that lead her to the first round of heartache.

  • Luke Hemmings Imagines *COMPLETED*

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonest others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, it always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) Christine Douglas fell in love once, and that one experience left her heartbroken and never wanting to love again. Luke Hemmings wants to love, but with his troubled past and life, he finds himself to lonely to try. When the two people meet, can they learn to love and trust each other, or will they just end up being heartbroken?
