Kaia's Redemption

Kaia Amina Henderson; a beautiful black teenager that has everything to offer the world- or at least had everything to offer, after the death of her long time boyfriend Mahlik, she wasn't the same ever again. Loosing hope that her heart and soul can ever be restored she finds herself- surprisingly- loving someone she never would've thought she would have loved... Herself. In order to find peace in his death she must love herself in order to love those around her, including their unborn child.
Hakeem Adonijah Jones; a former basketball player who now runs the streets. Never felt no love from a female besides his mother. After over 6 years of running the streets and nearly having to be put on life support he finally realizes that he can't waste his time trying to please his father, who wants to hand his empire over to him when he's 22- which is in three months. Hakeem doesn't want to be in the "family business" and instead he wants to play basketball professionally and finally, settle down.
Once these two cross paths- let's just say it didn't go as planned.
