Emily is just your average twenty something living life. She manages a cupcake bakery, has good friends, fosters animals from the pound and just when she is certain she is on the right path, a chance meeting with a handsome stranger has her doubting everything she knows. Jackson was raised with a drive to succeed and somewhere along the way he forgot there was more to life than just working. After meeting Emily he knows she is special and the one person he needs to have in his life but there is also the issue of her fiancé and the fact, they seem happily in love. With their mutual attraction only growing along with their friendship, could this be fate at work or a mistake in the making? Either way, Jackson wants his girl.
