River, born and raised a Kook, always found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time; of course, this included relationships. For the last year River had been dating her best friend's brother, and it can easily be said that he isn't the best boyfriend in the world. Her best friend, Sarah, has always been there for River - even if it meant defying her own brother to help the girl reach her happiness. After Sarah, a fellow Kook, finds herself falling in love with a Pogue, River is introduced to a boy named JJ. River has always been a Kook, but she's starting to think that the Pogue's are living a much better version of life.
