In what used to be North America, Human's have genetically engineered themselves into stronger and more dangerous beings.
Each had the ability to transform into a certain animal.
A Wolf, Tiger, Lion, Horse, Snake, Leopard, Cheetah and the Eagle. These eight shifter groups were put into eight districts.
Sky Haven is sixteen, and belongs in District six. Her mother, a Leopard and her dead dad something else. Something Sky doesn't know she's become. But there's not enough time to figure it out.
After getting chosen by the Reaping, Sky is forced to compete for her life. 16 tributes - one winner. Sky must compete to survive, and can she find her animal self... Or will it destroy her?

Then we have the felines: the Panthers, the Tigers, the Cougars, the Snow Leopards, the Cheetahs, and the Lions. Then we have our canines: the wolves, the foxes, the coyotes, and the hyena's. Are common because there are the mythical ones too. The flying creatures: the Hippogriffs, the Dragons, the Pegasus's, the Phoenixes, the Thunderbirds. The water creatures: the Sirens, the Mermaids, the Kelpies. The shapeshifting academy is kind of like Hogwarts with the letters and using owls for sending mail. Yes, there is a castle for the academy and no, there isn't any witch or wizards those are supposedly extinct. Now I have to go were going to find out what animal we shift into at the ceremony soon. If only I knew then that there was actually 23 types of shifters ~~~~~~~~~~ I wrote this series when i was very young, so any mistakes or grammar issues, or long descriptions, I am sorry about, but I won't be fixing them anytime soon either.Complete
