In The Society, 16 year old Aurora Gardens lives tolerated life, Her city, San Diego, now called The Society, is the same way it has always been to her memory. A dark, rainy, unpleasant place due to a gone wrong science experiment hundreds of years earlier. Aurora has always longed for the outside world, but doesn't have the guts to sneak out of The Society. One night Aurora spots a shadow lurking around the edge of a crowd, curious, she goes to see what is going on. 
Aurora finds a surprise when she reaches the place where the shadow disappeared into. A hole.
Her discovery has her kidnapped and snuck out of the city by an someone. When the blindfold is taken off her and her hands are untied, she sees a 17 year old boy, staring right at her. Will Aurora ever be able to return home? Or the real question is will she want to?All Rights Reserved
