Lovecraftian Horror. End of an era... is but the inception? Aug 2020. 11,000 words

This is my first story, and I need to learn how this works... so go easy on me. And I don't own any of the art or cover art used in the story. Credit goes to the artist. I'm also thinking about just rewriting the whole story in the future maybe... But idk yet. You're Y/N. You heard rumors of a island with some sort of treasure in it.. Nobody knows what exactly the treasure is... But people that have tried to figure it out have gone missing. Except for a crazy old man you saw on the streets warning everyone about the island, But you were always a curious person, and you needed that money so you can afford living in your home.. So you decide to solve the mystery yourself, but what you find was unexpected.. and disturbing... You are not the same as what you once were. I may do a rewrite for this story, because I'm embarrassed by how it turned out.

On her sixteenth birthday, Helen finds a strange, evil house in the centre of deep dark woods. Within that house, Helen finds a jigsaw puzzle that must be solved at all costs. Forced to confront disturbing events from her past, Helen's fear grows as she sees something in the puzzle picture that she instinctively knows is not of this world, and that it is something to be feared. EXTRACTS: As the fire reached the Guy, flames lapping quickly over his legs, his body, Helen thought she heard a scream of terror; a scream that seemed to come more from his dark, pleading eyes than from his mouth. The Guy was alive. She tried to tell her parents, but her throat was clogged with horror and fear. ...what a horrible sensation it must be to have your warm white bone, which had been shielded from the cold by flesh and blood, suddenly thrust out of you into the freezing winter air. Helen almost vomited when she saw steam rising from the wound. She wanted to scream...to scream so loud that she knew if she did, her own scream would frighten her all the more. She wanted to run from this house...but her legs would not move because she knew - somehow just knew - that if she ran, something would come out of the house...and it would come after her...and it would catch her... Lizzy was seven years old today, all done up in a pretty white dress and perfectly done pigtails...and then Lizzy called out, "Watch this!" as she came out of the kitchen door with a huge knife that glinted so brightly in the afternoon sun, and was, somehow, very ugly. And then Helen discovered what ugly really was... A tense, disturbing story where, for Helen, unease turns to steadily rising dread, and, eventually, to primal fear and sheer terror.

(edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do. Although not technically fan fiction, there is a nod to Final Fantasy games. The cover photo is a shared copyright, Brian Barbour took the photo, I added treatments.

Ever since her parents died, Rose hasn't felt quite right in her life. There are constant storms plaguing her small town, and the school bullies are making her life a living hell. When she is attacked by one boy on her way home from school, she thinks that reporting him to the police will be easy. Except, all she can do is think about the way he touched her and gazed down at her. Because he never actually hurt her. He seemed only enticed by her. His deathly pale skin, blood-red eyes and inhumanity haunted her. From then onward, she finds the boy follows her. He is everywhere she goes, and seems obsessed with her. It isn't long until she submits to his affections, igniting a passionate and violent love that affects the rest of her eternity. *cover art does not belong to me* A short story written by me for a good friend of mine.

Everything he did was for me. And everything I did was for him. I broke his heart. A heart I cherished. A heart he entrusted me with. A heart he loved me with. This was the last place I thought I'd see him. This was the last way I thought we'd meet again. I don't think I can walk away a second time. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Important My books are written explicitly for a MATURE AUDIENCE 18 YEARS AND OLDER. This story is being republished on wattpad! The whole series in already on Amazon and Smashwords! Enjoy :D A chain and a collar can imprison a nobleman, but what could entrap a devil? Only the innocence of a fallen angel. Once upon a time, there was a very respectful and principled young man, named Nyx. He was a nobleman in all meanings of the word. He struggled to keep his late father's fishing business alive and protect his dear mother and older sister. Between the fishermen's schemes and the selfishness of his stepfather, his task was not an easy burden to carry. One day, the fates threw him into a dangerous predicament, only to find himself being saved by the devil. Agenor (Ah-gueh-nor), Captain of the Martina pirate crew. He was strong and ruthless, which earned him a reputation across both shadowed waters and guarded islands as the 'Devil'. When the young nobleman fell into his hands, Agenor couldn't help but be enchanted by the innocent angel. He was inexplicably drawn to him. He didn't ponder much on his actions, as he was guided by a burning need to keep him for himself. It was within his rights to have the man for himself, to chain him and abuse him. He didn't listen to Nyx's pleas, or couldn't. He repeatedly denied him any chance of freedom. For deep within him, he knew. Nyx was his. This story depicts Nyx's adventure as he struggles to live among pirates, avoid their bullying and harassment, and witness his own feelings take unexpected turns towards his captor. I hope you enjoy the sexy pirates and the innocent lamb caught in between. Themes and warnings: This story is +18 Expect adult themes and graphic content.
