On a routine bounty mission from the Spider in Old Chicago, Hunter Greyson Ryder of the Last City expected a simple mission: hunt down the target, eliminate the target, get out and get paid. The same thing he's been doing for the past three quarters of a century. Nothing was supposed to go wrong, and nothing could go wrong.
But when the arrival of a certain princess from another world interrupts a perfect shot, he's forced to question fate and embark on a journey to find her a way home while unraveling secrets hidden from all.
