Elena McCallister is no normal girl. Everyone around her might say that she's mental or has an illness, but the truth is so much more bigger than that. Elena wasn't the first girl to experience her situation, there were many others but in the end they all ended up the same- dead. And now she's next. After killing a total of 35 counselors and psychologists, Elena's adoptive parents decide to send her to one last one before they give up.
Everything is the same with the new psycologist, same plain, white room, same sound of the clock ticking, however there is something different about this psycologist she's different- she cannot be killed. What secret is she hiding? And when a group of hunters finally come for Elena, it's probably not a good time to fall in love- especially with one of them, but now what once Elena thought was a plain and simple world where she was the only one with this gift or curse, has turned into a chaotic chase for her life, where everyday, a new secret is exposed and sooner or later she will be found, either killed or rescued by the one she loves.
But in this world there is always that one question that will always haunt your mind.

This alone allowed her to be one of the only vampires in existence to procreate. Although, her mother did not live long to tell the tale. She didn't know much about her father, just that he was in some kind of war, the wrong side of the war, apparently. He wasn't the best man, according to the stories she's heard. And he payed for this with his life. Now she and her uncle are in London, so they can be closer to the school she's been attending since she was 11, and as far away from Klaus Mickelson as humanly possible. Plus, London is practically infested with walking blood-bags. The silver lining on this rather blood infested hell-hole she calls her life now; she's caught in an weird love triangle with two guys who are literally worst enemies, the similarities her love life shares with that of the Petrova doublegangers is actually sickening. Boy does Damon Salvatore have his hands full.

To make matters worse Caitlin is forced to keep it a secret. This time Caitlin can't drink her problems away. How will she deal with all of this stress?
