This story was inspired by the song Paperwings by Cauterize I recommend listening to the song before or after you read it. Ralph a grade twelve is missing his prom because he is in the hospital recovering from chemo for leukemia in a tragic twist of fate his girlfriend and his best friend/bone marrow donor are in a car accident leaving prom early to visit him. His best friend survives relatively unhurt but his girlfriend is in a comma not far away not doing well. Ralph is desperate to visit her but can't leave the clean room.All Rights Reserved
