At one time, another species ruled the planet. Shifters. Shifters of all kind. Then the humans arrived, and killed as many of the shifters as they could. The humans starved for power, and killing was the way that they would take to get it.
The King and Queen of Adarwen seemed nice to the humans, yet they didnt know what happened behind the closed palace doors. The myth was that all shifters were dead, but only the royals knew that to be a lie. They would make it true by any means.
Along with the conflict of the warring groups came a prophecy. This prophecy spoke of a mythical shifter, a creature that was thought to be extinct, who would come from the mountains and take down the humans. When the news spread of the last mythical shifter being slaughtered, the whole shifter kingdom fell into hiding, while the humans rejoiced.
After time, the humans forgot and let their guard down. The fatal mistake.

Alice and her three friends, have finally managed to find enough money to travel to Rome, Italy. Hoping that a break from: men, work and a recent painful break up for one of the girls. But in life, nothing is ever so simple as that. One minute they are treating themselves to a small glass of wine, when there plane literally falls from the sky. Thinking that they sort lives and that of the pilot and crew, would be no more. Fate gives them a strange, but intriguing second chance of life and happiness. To protect their world from the 'monsters', at the beginning of each winter, before the snow touches the ground. They send couple of women, to the legendary 'Fire Wall'. Manned by the same so called 'monsters', that they guard and protect the humans from. What they do with the girls, no one knows. But what they do know is that no one comes out of the keep. So when Alice and her friends, wake up in the middle of a crowded hall, that looks like it came out from a Medieval history book. And finding out that shifters do exist, also that the creator and second in command/Watcher and owner of the legendary 'Fire Wall', are both her mates. Her and her friends lives will never be the same again. Through twists and turns, they will face: death, love, sacrifice and face there true fate with a heavy heart. Second chances and the fate of there world and universe is in the palm of there hand. It is official these girls will have an interesting ride. You all know the old fairy-tale's where an evil and cruel dragon kidnaps the princess because of her beauty and then knights in shinning armour arrives to save her. After saving her they get the half of the kingdom and marry the princess and lives happily ever after.. But this story is very different... There was once were a beautiful, kind princess named Lydia who got engaged to a prince, but the princess wasn't in love with him at all. One day as she was sleeping peacefully in her bed with her window opened, a dragon named Lithon attacked the kingdom. In it's attack on the kingdom the dragon flew to the castle and was going to destroy it from pure hatred for the royal family, but then he saw the princess through her open window. The dragon fell for her beauty immediately, so he decided to kidnap her, it would also be the perfect revenge on the royal family. So the dragon took the princess to his place, the princess was of course not happy about that and she did freak out. She didn't wanted to live with a dragon! But then, the dragon reached it's house and he changed into a handsome young man! Even though its forbidden for them to be together, the princess slowly fell for the dragon and the dragon fell for her.. but how will this fairy tale end..? like every other, where the prince comes and slay the dragon and gets the girl, or will it be different this time? The world's war against dragons has been going on for generations, but no one knows why they fought. After years of fighting a new species emerged, shapeshifters. They were able to shift between a dragon and human form, making them impossible to find. Everyone referred to them as halflings, half dragon and half human. They were said to have wondrous abilities ranging from an armor like pelt to healing powers. These abilities made them prized creatures and wanted across all lands. Those that were discovered usually ended up as pets or fighters in arena's. After five years of their existence they all went into hiding, fearing what the humans did to those that had been captured. They were taught at a young age to never show what they could do to a human, as it would lead to being caught and possibly killed. Once upon a time there was a girl name Evangeline King, Eve for short. She lives in a world full of shifters and non-shifters. Her parents were the King and Queen of people that hated shifters. Eve never believed them, because her best-friend was a shifter. His name is Daniel Grey, he could shift into a tiger. He would hide his secret from the others. But one day, Daniel vanished and Eve never saw him again. Over time her parents died, and her name and kingdom were forgotten. Eve became poor and went to live with her friend Amber. Who worked at the bakery, in a small village called Shimmer. Eve lived there for years, working at the local tavern to earn money to help Amber.
