I think it's been more than 20 years since that day. I haven't spoken to him since I graduated from high school. It's funny. I thought we were inseparable. 
We had known each other since we were babies. Both our parents were friends and worked at a hospital as medical doctors. 
They were hardly home so we were basically raised together by nannies. Although I was given everything I could ask for, I wasn't happy and Asahi knew that better than anyone. I think that's why we were so close. Because we knew how it was to be abandoned by your family. We did everything together. All I can do now is think about how we felt: happy.
