Living in a society like this one isn't easy. It relies completely on co-dependent relationships between Doms and subs. Subs simply cannot survive without a dominant partner. Doms' lives are, to put it bluntly, boring without someone to keep forcibly in line.

Shoto Todoroki is a sub who has been living out of his car for a year. He's never wanted a Dom. Living this way has changed his mind though.
