Spot Conlon is an eleven year old boy who lives in Brooklyn, New York. He works as a Brooklyn Newsies, selling papes for a penny each every day. Being a newsie is tough: there's never enough. Enough food, enough money, enough anything. One day, he arrives at the newspaper station to find it has been burned to the ground and the suspect is one of his newsie buddies, one of his only friends. He comes up with a plan for the other Brooklyn newsies to still sell papers and make money, put he is busy trying to prove his friend innocent... and then he meets a girl who spit-shakes and has mad fighting skills. And she's better than he is with a sling shot. Will he be able to control his feelings for this girl while at the same time prove his friend innocent? Of course he will! He's Spot Conlon!

Just so you know, this is just the first of a trilogy. I'll name them here.

Racetrack Higgins was a normal Manhattan Newsie- more or less. He was Gay, but so were all of his brothers. He was Jack's Second in Command and had a rough past. He was stubborn, has anxiety, and is a good bit chaotic. Spot Conlon was not a normal Newsie. He was the King of Brooklyn, the Borough feared by most. Except for Race. (And a few others.) Said Italian blonde boy was actually a half Brooklyn, half Manhattan Newsie, as he sold in Brooklyn. Sure, Spot scared him sometimes, but not a lot. They were very different. Spot had brown hair, Race had dirty blonde. Race had been to the Refuge, Spot hadn't. Spot had brown eyes, Race had bright blue eyes. Race was strong, but easily outnumbered, Spot was strong, but wasn't easily outnumbered. One think they both agreed was that they cared for their boys more than anything and would do anything to keep them safe. Oh, that and that the other was cute. Or hot, depending on if you were Spot or Race. ~~ Excerpt from the Story ~~ "Hey, Race." Ace starts, picking up his cards every time Race passes one to him. Race hums, passing a card to Sling, then himself, and then Ace. "Do you have a crush on Spot?" Ace asks, still staring at his cards. Sling hides his smile with his cards in front of his face, stifling a laugh. "No." Race answers, his face reddening slightly as he passes out another card to each boy. Ace looks up at him. "BS." He is a pretty good leader for Brooklyn, his cane that he stole from Pulitzer and his slingshot are his main weapons. Being intimidating has always been his way to get people to do what he wants, but it doesn't work on Tempest, not one bit. As they meet, will these two powerful newsies clash? Or will they be able to tolerate each other, at least until the end of the strike? (I do not own any Newsies Characters except the ones that I made up!)

At first she doesn't like him. in fact, she hates him, but he seems attracted to her. She begins to fall for him, but will they hae these feelings forever? Fate is the deciding factor.
