One cold, leaf-bare night a small black tomcat trots over blankets of pure white snow. His pelt was darker than the night. The fleck on his chest and the tip of his tail was whiter than the snow. The tomcat sniffed the air, his fur fluffing up in the harsh winds that were attacking him like a fox. He decided to walk back to the barn nearby where another tom lived. Though the cat was a larger tom, splotches black as a yew branch and white splotches white as a cloud. They were very close as well. The black tom ran quickly back to the barn to be greeted by the warmth of the barn and the kindness of his friend. Happiness strung at his beating heart as he lay next to the other tom and they fell asleep with the bigger tomcat lapping at the others head...
