One cold, leaf-bare night a small black tomcat trots over blankets of pure white snow. His pelt was darker than the night. The fleck on his chest and the tip of his tail was whiter than the snow. The tomcat sniffed the air, his fur fluffing up in the harsh winds that were attacking him like a fox. He decided to walk back to the barn nearby where another tom lived. Though the cat was a larger tom, splotches black as a yew branch and white splotches white as a cloud. They were very close as well.

The black tom ran quickly back to the barn to be greeted by the warmth of the barn and the kindness of his friend. Happiness strung at his beating heart as he lay next to the other tom and they fell asleep with the bigger tomcat lapping at the others head...

Every disaster that threatens a Clan means StarClan will come and save you. You'll receive a prophecy that will save everything you love. The peril is vanquished in a battle, and there is no need for sleeping with one eye open anymore. StarClan will forever watch over you from your nest and keep you safe. That is what has been passed down from generations. Not every tale has to end like that: StarClan saving everyone with the chosen cat, everyone loving the hero or heroine - but it always does. So facing a challenge such as missing cats shouldn't be a challenging task. Moons pass on, cats keep disappearing faster and faster; nobody is doing anything to prevent the case. Everyone is relying on StarClan to send the prophecy to their medicine cat, just hoping that one day, the fiasco will end. Yet that's not the way fear works its way into hearts. Warriors, once brave and strong, now cowering behind one another. Apprentices with their eagerness to learn, now afraid of the outside world and going missing. Queens, always caring for their kits, now fearful of losing them to the mystery. Elders, who are as wise as the deepest river, now unable to provide an answers. With leaf-bare creeping up, the Clans are preparing for the harsh weather. Preparing for another season should be like gathering moss for the elders, but not this time. This time, the Clans are struggling just to assemble a hunting patrol and maintain borders. Forcing time out of daily tasks is asking the impossible. Leaf-bare is going to take the remaining lives of the cats that are lucky enough to even make it through leaf-fall. A silent storm will sweep across them and leave no traces; they might as well prepare to die in the white flakes of leaf-bare, covered up by mounds of snow, lost and forgotten. {This is a rewrite of my story and just like before, copying isn't allowed} {This is also a work of fanfiction! I do not own Warrior Cats!}

A sickness - like a mere case of the chills or a minor whitecough in a patient - is often something a medicine cat can easily fix, with some leafy catmint or perhaps a pawful of feverfew. It is vanquished effortlessly, and the illness is gone. It does not come back unless someone receives it again. But when the Clans have contracted a terrible sickness, StarClan has not answered for moons, and they are losing numbers quickly, nobody knows what to do. The medicine cats have done all they can for their Clanmates, however, nothing has worked. No longer outside the elder's den lay a lazy, gray-muzzled cat. The nursery, ever so faintly smelling of milk, only contains memories of what used to happen in the usually cheery den. The warrior's den only have three or four inhabitants, each of which thinks grimly of the day that the sickness could come upon them. The apprentice's den, in some Clans, has one cat who comes to sleep in it each night, cold and alone. Others are empty, filled with grief for lost futures. Leaf-fall has tumbled upon the Clans. Leaf-bare approaches, peeking over the treetops some mornings. This awful illness has lasted since Green-leaf and, still, with the medicine cats searching every day and the warrior's eyes peeled for it, a cure has not been found. However, each Clan has a reason for StarClan not answering them, and they mostly stick to it. Withering herbs, Clanmates, may wilt until they are nothing but a pile of dust, blown away by wind. { Copying of any sort is NOT PERMITTED. } { The cover is made by the lovely @Talfli - go give her a follow & some votes. } { highest ranking: 40 in warriorcats | 1 in warriorcatsfanfiction }

-Book One in the Adventures of the Prophesies Series- ''Did you know," a black she-cat with a long tail asked her mate in wonder, "that there were cats in the forest?" "Cats in the forest? Don't be ridiculous! I am just glad that our kits are not allowed outside yet" a tortoiseshell tom said. Suddenly there came a loud yell from inside the no-pelt den. Out came a small female chimera kit yelling "I FOUND IT!" Those three words made two other kits hop out of the bellcat entrance. The first kit to come out was a tom with cream and white fur, laughing. The last kit came out was a white she-cat with long tufts of fur in between her ears. Her underbelly fur and tail was just as long, and the fur was long on her long tail. "Dream, Oat, Cloud get back inside the no pelt den right this instant!" The tom yowled. "Oh Frances doesn't be so harsh on them." the she-cat purred. "But Lucy, you know as well as I do that they will want to follow me to my no-pelt's den, then your no-pelt will be so worried that it will forget about you and will look for the kits," Frances said. "You don't have to worry so much." Dream said, "We would not be able to hop on top of the fence!" "Speak for yourself!" her sister Cloud said as she hopped onto the fence. She gasped as she steadied herself and looked out on the world beyond the fence. It was right then and there that she knew that was where she belonged. It would mean leaving her family and life behind, but that was where she was going to go the day that the other no pelts came to look at her siblings. She would call that day as the day of Escape.

Berrypaw looked up at the she-cat, tears filling her moon shaped eyes. "But I- I can't be a great Warrior..." She sniffled. The black she-cat looked down at Berrypaw, her green eyes sparkling. "Oh young one, you are destined to become something greater then just a Medicine cat!" The she-cat purred with amusement. "Wha-?" Suddenly a bright light encased Berrypaw and she passed out on the cold star-filled forest floor. The black she-cat chuckled and turned around to go, her fur sparkling with tiny stars as she went. Disclaimer: I do not own the Warrior Cats series but I do own all the cats inside it and the fan-made clan names.
