The pauna was seen as a bloodthirsty mutated gorilla to the grounders. But none of them ever looked closer. If they did, they would have seen that she only attacked those who invaded on her land or tried to attack - a telltale sign that she was protecting something. But what?

Phoebe was from Area 51. Known as 13, she was the only super soldier to be produced out of 15 subjects. No others survived without consequences. Allowed a comfort animal, she just happened to develop a special relationship with a certain gorilla.
