Have you ever felt so lonely you believed there was nothing left for you? Stashed away, merely forgotten. I mean you could cry and cry, yet no one would hear you. At least no one you truly once loved. Being yourself can be detrimental to others happiness, and so you down play who you are. You devalue your beliefs, your morals fall short and that hollow rock turns into your Mirror. Do you matter anymore? Would anyone care if you simply disappeared? Could you find your way out of the darkness? Look Closer is one of my favourite quotes and so I'll use it as a guide to understanding the complex characters you're about to meet.

Some of the stories exist in the same universe, with the same rules govering the mirror, others stand alone, with a completely unrelated mirror adventure. In one tale, the main character, Brad, moves in with his with his dad and accidentally discovers a mirror that allows him to see what life would be like as a girl, but how can he experience this discovery without getting caught and what will his dad think if he does finds out? In another, a man buys a mirror at an estate sale and later accidentally discovers its magical life-changing properties that only manifest when certain conditions are met. Then there's the story of Brennan, who accidentally discovers a mirror in his dad's room that has the power to show him they're life he always dreamed of, living as a girl. In yet another, 16 year old Roger's journey begins with the exciting discovery of a book, in an attic, that describes an ancient magical mirror with the ability to reflect a person's deepest desires.
