It's been several years since the zombie virus swept across America, there's only a loner survivor left, Gerard Way, who's the only one he knows of who survived the virus. He's met the love of his life and formed a group who he'd die for. Literally.
In 24 hours, things went wrong, so horribly wrong.
After giving himself up to the Alpha Zs to save his group, Ray, Mikey and Frank, he merely escapes from the most dangerous gang in the apocalypse, the Alpha Zs. He doesn't go without fighting hard for his freedom to get back to his loved ones.
He made Ray promise to protect Mikey and Frank, and makes the agreement that he will meet them in Nevada. That's the last thing they communicated before everything spun out of control.
It's a little harder than it seems, especially since he is alone. His only goal is to meetup with his group, that's the only important thing.
That's all that matter.

This is based in 2019 when the apocalypse is in full swing. Oceans have dried and rain has stopped falling. In the midst of things, a twenty one year old boy, Gerard, is left struggling to keep his younger brother, Mikey, and himself alive. They've made enemies along the way as every human encounter turns sour. The biggest threat to the boys is the notorious company, Better Living Industries. They have taken over every city left in the ruins of planet earth and attempted to kill some of the last human beings on earth. Little does Gerard know that he will soon become part of a rebel gang that fights their way through the vampires, exterminators, and the undead. Gerard learns new emotions instead of fear, anger, and sadness. He learns happiness, peace, and.. Even love. Stay tuned for any traffic reports along the way. It's the future and all of North America is basically experiencing an apocolypse. In 3013 a missile hit in southern america, it contained an unknown virus that has spread like wildfire and infected 60% of America, Mexico, and Canadas citizens as a whole. The USA has contained all healthy citizens from the sick ones. The government has convinced everyone that the outside world is a very dangerous place. But is it true? Everyone has their doubts. And the government heads on a downward spiral when Jr. Soldiers Gale Mathesin and Vala Mininger set out to save their city from being overrun with the sickness. But will there be a bump in the road of their 'perfect' plan? No inside citizens has ever seen the outside world. They need to find a new place to settle their citizens before the sickness overruns them all. As far as the rest of the world knows, all of North America is sick or dead. So where do they have to go? Frank is going to eat the rich and Gerard happens to be rich. --- Frank's life has always been a mess, but lately, it's been worse than ever. His mom's death was the first blow, and losing his job was just the cherry on top. In any other world, he could've simply found another job-no big deal. People lose their jobs all the time. But in this dystopian society, Frank blames the government and starts a revolution instead. On the other side of the Wall, Gerard has just been promoted to General. However, he doesn't get to celebrate much long when some punk keeps starting riots in the Outside. As the General of the City, his job is to protect the people behind the Wall, which means put a stop to these riots before it reaches the City. Gotta protect the rich, right?
