Where is she?! Where the fuck is she? Declan said he would be here within an hour and it has already been three hours since he left. What could have taken him so long. Go to the school, barter for girl, drive home. Simple, right? What would happen to him if they did not come back? He would cease to exist. Without her, all is meaningless. 
The world had went to shit almost a year back, Declan and I had been on base in Jacksonville, Arkansas. We had just gotten back from a two year deployment in Iraq. Declan and I lived across the street from each other as kids, grew up together, then enlisted together. Air Force all the way. So we had been back on base less than a week when a recruit came down sick. Or so we thought, he soon turned crazed. He was stronger and didn't seem to feel pain. The recruit  had no need for food, water, sleep, any of the things that make us human. He had finally been locked up when he started attacking everyone around him.
