My back was facing her. I wrote out the notes for my next lecture on the black board as she sighed deeply. "What do you suggest I do?" she huffed. I controlled my breathing. If only she knew what she does to me. I put down the chalk and turned to her. "Don't write such a useless term paper next time." I plainly answered. Her lips parted and her mouth hung open for a moment. She quickly composed herself and her eyes became dark and angry. "Useless? Useless! Do you know how long it took me to write that Professor James! How many hours I spent typing, researching and studying for it just for you to give me a D?!" she snapped. God I loved how passionate she got when she was angry about something. "I'm sorry Miss Jackson, but there's nothing I can do." I turned around and continued writing on the board. "Professor, I have a scholarship to maintain and I can't afford to have a grade like that." she admitted. I remained silent and continued to focus on my notes. "Please. I'll do anything." The chalk fell out of my hand and hit the ground. I turned my head slightly enough to see her still standing and looking as dertermined as ever. I walked up to her, our bodies were only a centimeter apart. I lowered my face down to her left ear and I heard her breath hitch slightly. "Anything?" I whispered. I saw her swallow, "Anything..."

"Why are you doing this to me?" The grey swirls look up from the stupid book he's reading. They glower in the dim lights. "And what am I doing to you, Amaya?" Hayes asks calmly and I ball my hands into fists, seething at his ignorance. "Well?" "You're hurting me." "I'm protecting you." He says, glancing back at the book. "By pushing people away from me? By stopping me from doing what I want? When did that become your choice?" "From the moment I stuck that ring on your finger and promised myself that I'll never let you be in that same position as you were last year." He snaps his book shut, and glares down at the Rolex enclosed on his wrist. "So that's it? You'll just keep me under your control?" "Darling, I'm just trying to protect you. Why can't you see that?" My Professor rises from his seat and runs his hands down his suit. "When we get married-" "If we get married." The grey swirls snap to me like lightening and his jaw flexes. My heartbeat quickens and I make a turn towards the door, now desperately wanting to leave his office. "If we get married?" He repeats, walking dangerously quick towards me as I try for the door. "If we get married?" Slam! His sudden closeness to me, the way I can feel his hot breath by my neck is enough to send me spiralling in both fear and excitement. Hayes spins me around and pushes me back against the door. He grabs my chin and forces me to look up at him, his gaze sending jolts to my lower stomach. "When we get married." He utters, trailing his thumb along my bottom lip. "When we get married, my love. Say it to me." "When we get married." I whisper weakly, my eyes glued to his face. "Good." His lips curl upwards and my cheeks flush against my will. I wait for him to kiss me, I wait for him to tell me that he loves me. But instead he takes a step back, glancing down at his watch. "Your class is about to start, Miss. Falke. I suggest you run." #3 high - 06/11/2025 #3 engaged - 12/11/2025 #1 high - 16/01/2026
