Teenage werewolf hunter Lennox Armstrong still hasn't killed his first Big Bad. But during a routine hunt in his hometown, all his plans go to shit the moment human Bernadette Braverman, the girl he's head over heels for, manages to get turned by a werewolf.

Now, he has a time limit. Either find a cure before she permanently shifts with the next full moon or kill her before she turns into a mindless monster.

She eased her grasp on Lennox's collar and placed a hand on his chest. Her wet hair fell down the smooth curve of her freckled shoulder. Although blood covered nearly every inch of her body only hours ago, she smelled sugary-sweet from a recent shower. In the gold illumination of his interior car lights, she appeared younger than seventeen.

"Do you know what's happening to me, Lennox?"

"You died, Bernadette," Lennox whispered. Although the full moon hung high in the night sky, the streetlights revealed every inch of the empty street. If he wanted to kill her, he ran the risk of waking the neighbors. "You became a wolf. You're not-you're not supposed to be alive."

"Oh," she whispered. "So, you are here to kill me."
