Testing the Waters: A story on Chase Michael Landry.
The way he smiled. The way he would wear his ball cap. The way I fell for a Gator wrangling guy with his intoxicating personality was harder than hitting the pavement as a kid. The charming way he asked me to help on his boat for gator season........ only to find love in the hottest and most dangerous place on the swamp. Coming up pregnant was no mistake, but taking note of him wanting children after marriage? That was a bigger challenge.
"Are ya ok there Khloe?" He asked watching me move from the middle of the boat to the edge in about two seconds.
"I'm fine Chase." I say only to be "chumming the waters" after that statement.
"Yeah well ya don't look good." He says holding the strands of hair that managed to fall in my face.
"Cause I'm pregnant." I admit looking to him before searching his eyes for any sign of anything possible.
"I uh guess I shoulda proposed earlier." He says smiling reassuringly.

I looked down at my freshly painted acrylic nails. My heart was racing and my palms were sweating. Although I was having a good time. It was time for me to get out with it. It's her first day at a new school, a random person Airdropped her something and they begin to chat. This mystery guy is 17 and also his Junior year and is a football player. My head snapped up to get a look and I saw number 22 sitting up with one leg bent and the other laying on the ground. He seamed calm. "Alright, let's get you up," some one said kneeing next to number 22. "No no, I'm fine. Help them, they may be out, he is not responding to me." 22 insisted. Once the others heard this they ran to the other person, 85 from the other team. 22 glanced at the bleachers, briefly making eye contact with me, he then quickly looked back, almost as if doing a double take. He held the eye contact this time, I gave him a small smile and he gave me a sweet smile. "He smiled at you!" "It was just a smile," I said going back to my book. "You have a crush." "You definitely do, but we won't say anything, yet." I rolled my eyes at both of them. They were right, no, maybe. He was cute, the way his hair fell, and how he put the other player before himself. I thought it was cute.
