VINTAGE TALES FROM AROUND THE WORLD by NaavaAbraham1
26 parts Complete
The world is filled with fascinating tales and folktales, each with its unique narrative and cultural significance. These stories have stood the test of time and continue to be cherished and retold to this day. In this article, I will share some of my favorite tales with you. But why name this collection "Vintage Tales"? The term "vintage" is often associated with something old, harkening back to a bygone era. It implies that the object in question has a certain age and nostalgic charm. When it comes to books, vintage is generally used to describe works that are over 50 years old but less than a century old. According to the Oxford Dictionary, vintage can also connote something of exceptional quality, the best of its kind, and representative of a particular period's finest work. Tales are short stories that are connected by an overall narrative framework. They can be true or fictional, but they are often embellished with vivid details to make them more engaging and exciting. They usually focus on exotic, supernatural, or miraculous elements and are imaginative and captivating. Folktales, on the other hand, are stories that are handed down through generations via oral tradition, rather than being written down. They frequently incorporate moral values and lessons that reflect the culture they originate from, serving as a means of teaching right from wrong. Tall Tales are stories that are difficult to believe but remain entertaining. These tales often feature hyperbolic elements, such as larger-than-life characters, and exaggerate updated events. "Vintage Tales" or "Classic Tales" are enchanting stories that are steeped in history and folklore, transporting us to another time and place. They are a window into the past and offer a glimpse into the cultural values and customs of our ancestors. These tales remind us of the importance of storytelling and cultural preservation. So, let's dive into these tales and experience the magic of storytelling!

Captive of the Shadows (The Fairy Code Book #1) by Kaitlyn Weiss

11 parts Complete

It started out like any other day. How was I to know it was my last day on Earth? You see, on that day, my boss sold me to Doran, the King of Shadows, ally of Chaos, and ruler of one of the three faery courts. Sounds crazy, right? After all, I'm a geneticist, not a slave. Before I knew it, I was transported to another world - a world where the very landscape killed most humans. Somehow, against the odds, I survived. But how? And why was I here? I soon found out that the faeries were barren and facing extinction. The King of Shadows set before me the daunting challenge of finding out why. The consequence for failure? Facing an unbearable fate. But someone or something was out to stop me.... My search for a solution would lead me to secrets about my own origin and to unexpected feelings for this cruel land and its harsh ruler. Oh, Chaos! What a wild ride!
