Dylan Brown is an orphan. Her parents died in a fire. At least, that's what she's told. 
She finds out about a ship that's going to an unknown island. Being her risk taking, careless self, she boards it unnoticed with a couple of friends. What will happen to the ship, where will it take her, what will she find there, and most importantly, will she find truth?

Losing both of her parents and her little brother at age twelve to a fire Serena never thought she'd be ok again. Now at age nineteen though, she has moved to a new state and is ready to blossom her carrier as a journalist. Writing and building stories had always been special to her and now, she's ready to take the next step. But little does she know, the story she has been sent to uncover, will only bring back all of the pain from her past, and welcome her to seeing fear at a different angle. Impossible truths come to surface and Serena is tossed into a world different then no other.. She thought that the screams and cries that had filled her nights for years after she lost her family were bad? Well now, they've come back; the only way to escape them, is to face them in a whole new reality. There are secrets in her family all the way back from BC. She's gone from a simple journalist to the targeted puzzle piece of a nation and with one wrong move, she dies.
